    The Economic Development Advisory Board acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council and Economic Development Authority (EDA) on matters pertaining to economic development, assisting with long-term strategies for economic development as intended by the City's Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Code, assist in attracting and retaining businesses in South St. Paul, assist businesses with expansion and enable the rehabilitation and/or redevelopment of areas within the community.

    3rd-5th graders are invited to join Bedtime Math’s Crazy 8s, where you’ll build stuff, run and jump, make music, make a mess…it’s a totally new kind of math club. Crazy 8s meets for 8 weeks and is for kids of ALL math abilities—this is not math tutoring, homework help, or gifted programming. It is about getting kids to love math in an after-school setting. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up! Registration opens on August 30.

  14. Halloween Skate at the Doug Woog Arena

    Get your friends and family together for a Halloween Skate at the Doug Woog Arena (formerly Wakota Arena) on Sunday, October 29th from 4:40 to 6:00 pm. Join the staff from the Doug Woog Arena, the SSP Mayor's Youth Task Force and Wakota Federal Credit Union for a Halloween Skate. This event is FREE to attend. There will be creepy fun, music, Halloween games, a costume contest (for safety reasons, no masks please, face paint is permitted) and trick or treating. Admittance to the event is FREE, skate rental is $2.00/or canned food items for Neighbors, Inc. (Please note: there is a limited amount of skates available). Our thanks to Wakota Federal Credit Union for sponsoring the 2017 Community Skates. Wakota Federal Credit Union is located at 1151 Southview Blvd in South St. Paul.

    Marie Avenue is the place to be on Halloween Night! Join the City of South St. Paul, SSP Businesses, organizations and volunteers for the 16th Annual Great Halloween Get Together. Travel the transformed Marie Avenue starting at 7th Avenue to the 4th Avenue and back trick and treating the entire way. The event offers a safe and fun community-wide Halloween Celebration in South St. Paul. There will be music, games, and treats. Neighbors, Inc. will also be joining the fun and collecting non-perishable food items. The City of South St. Paul invites all businesses/organizations/residents to participate.
