Out of precaution due to COVID-19 (coronavirus) and in the best interests of our patrons and employees, the South St. Paul Public Library will be CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC effective 6pm, Friday, March 13, 2020 and will remain closed to the public through at least May 4, 2020.
During the Governor’s mandated "Stay at Home" period, staff will be available to answer questions, check your account, or make book recommendations by phone Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. As of April 6, reserved items for South St. Paul patrons will be sent to the Wentworth branch of Dakota County Library System for curbside pickup. Once you are notified that your holds are available for pickup, please call Wentworth library at 651-554-6800 to schedule a pickup time.
Current checkouts of materials now have a due date of May 31, 2020. At this time we are quarantining any returned items for three days and then checking them in. No fines for materials will accrue during this time.
All programs, events, and meeting room reservations are cancelled indefinitely. If you haven’t tried our digital resources, now’s a great opportunity to explore Cloud Library, Hoopla, or RBdigital!
