The Twin Cities metropolitan area is fortunate to have a large number of lakes, including our local lake - Seidl's Lake. Many state and local agencies have a role in managing and monitoring lake water quality. The Metropolitan Council operates the most extensive lake monitoring program in the region, and has been monitoring metro area lakes since 1980. Seidl's Lake is one of the lakes that the Metropolitan Council monitors. There is a year or so gap before all of the water quality monitoring data is compiled and released. The 2019 report has been released and Seidl's Lake was graded as a 'C' on their scale. More information on water quality monitoring can be found by clicking on this link: 2019 Lake Summary.
