The Planning Commission is a seven-member citizen commission, appointed by the City Council to four-year terms. The Planning Commission advises the City Council on all planning, zoning, and land uses within the community. Duties of the Planning Commission include the review of all development and redevelopment proposals and the enforcement of the Comprehensive Plan.

Join the City of South St. Paul and the South St. Paul School District Community Learning Center (CLC) in creating a South St. Paul Interactive Community Art Mural that would be placed at the Doug Woog Arena on Thursday, May 2nd from 3:00 to 7:00 pm
Interactive Community Art Muralist Shane Anderson will partner with the Community Learning Center students and staff to create 2 murals to depict the history of South St. Paul. The students will conduct the research and work with Shane to create the Interactive Murals.
One mural will be completed by the CLC students and staff. Anderson will work and give lessons to the students on painting techniques and coach them as they work on the project. The students will collectively work together to complete the mural from inception to completion.
The second mural will be completed by members of the South St. Paul Community. Anderson will draw the mural and residents are invited to come and paint the mural under his direction.

Join the City of South St. Paul for the Grand Re-Opening of the McMorrow Field Athletic Complex on Saturday, May 4th at McMorrow Field – 200 South East Street. A dedication, ribbon cutting, activities and refreshments will take place starting at 10:00 am. The public is invited to attend this free event.
McMorrow Field Athletic Complex has been transformed into four full-sized flat fields that can be used for a variety of field sports including soccer, football, lacrosse and the area has the flexibility to be lined and set-up for multiple smaller sized fields. Each field has goal end safety fences and it features ADA accessible viewing areas.

Join the Annual South St. Paul Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 27th starting at 9:30 am. The parade will start at 6th and Marie, travel west on Marie and north on 15th Avenue to the Oak Hill Cemetery. (please note, the Memorial Days Parade will remain on Marie this year).
City Offices closed in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday. Offices will reopen on Tuesday, May 28th at 8:00 am
