August 26, 2020 - August 27, 2020 @ Lawshe Park
Join the City of South St. Paul this Wednesday and Thursday for an historic opportunity to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment and the first vote in the nation at Lawshe Park.
On August 26, from 8:30 to 10:00 pm, we'll be lighting up Lawshe Park purple and yellow as part of a national movement. Thanks for Complete Weddings + Events for laminating Lawshe Park.
Then on August 27, let's celebrate as a community, the 100th Anniversary of the 1st women in the nation to vote under the 19th Amendment. Here we will add 90 luminary bags representing the 90 women that voted. Lawshe Park will be light up from 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
Due to COVID 19, the original plans to celebrate as a community have been put on hold until 2021, this event will kick off a variety of events leading us up to August 27, 2021 when we hope as a community, we can celebrate together.
