Rental Housing Licensing
Every person who owns property and operates it as residential rental property needs to secure an annual license for the right to conduct this business within the community. The license must be secured each year and the premises must be inspected at least once every three (3) years.
Obtaining a NEW License
You may obtain the materials necessary for Rental License in the following ways:
- Come to City Hall and pick up an application.
- Request one be mailed to you.
- Download the application HERE
Applications will not be accepted, and licenses will not be issued without payment and a valid inspection on file.
Renewal Rental Licenses
Renewal License Materials are mailed out annually. You are now able to renew rental license online, provided your property has a valid inspection on file. To renew online you will need the renewal code on the upper right-hand corner of the renewal paperwork that was sent to you. Then follow this eLicense link.
