The Wakota Scenic Trailhead Improvements Project is a joint project between the City of South St. Paul and Dakota County. The trailhead site is located at the south end of Verderosa Ave, next to the DNR boat launch and the South St. Paul community gardens. This project will involve the construction of a multi-use trail and trailhead facility with picnic facilities, restroom building, water fountain, bicycle fix-it station, wayfinding, lighting, and landscaping. The contractor, Ebert Construction, is scheduled to begin in summer 2023. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of fall 2023.
For those using the boat launch, compost site, or the community gardens, please be mindful of construction activities and drive slowly through the site.
