An exciting and important trail connection project is scheduled to begin the week of November 18, 2019 at Kaposia Landing. The City of South St. Paul in partnership with Dakota County, City of St. Paul, and Ramsey County is participating in a federal grant-funded project that will connect the local and regional trail system at Kaposia Landing to the expanding network of trails throughout the metro area at Harriet Island Regional Park in St. Paul. The finished connection will be a 10-foot wide, paved off-street trail adjoining the existing Mississippi River Greenway Trail. The first stage of the trail project will be the construction of a pedestrian bridge in the north-west corner of Kaposia Landing to provide safe crossing over the high traffic rail line. During bridge construction taking place winter and spring 2020, the north section of the Kaposia Landing loop trail will be closed. We appreciate your patience during this temporary closure.
