Dakota
County is milling and overlaying 3rd Avenue
N./Grand Avenue E. (County Road 14) from Marie Avenue to Highway
156. Several inches of the existing pavement will be removed, or milled,
and replaced with new asphalt. Other work includes replacing some of the
sidewalk.
Expect
delays and temporary lane closures. Flagging operations may be necessary to
safely move traffic through the area for some of the construction activities.
For the safety of both the residents and the workers, please be patient.

Traffic impacts: Expect
daily lane closures and/or shifts in the eastbound and northbound lanes
beginning on Monday, April 20. This will continue through mid-May.

Work begins on Monday, April 20. Some trees will be removed as necessary for construction. Crews will begin removing sidewalk and curb and gutter along the east side of 3rd Avenue N. and along the north side of Grand Avenue E. Minor grading to smooth out these areas will follow. Installation of new concrete will begin later in the week, weather permitting. This work will continue into the following week.
