The Mississippi River at South St. Paul projects to rise a couple of more feet before stabilizing early next week. The crest is expected rise to just above 700 feet on Thursday, April 26th. It’s expected that low lying areas directly next to the river, trail access points, and some portions of trails will experience some minor flooding. The majority of the community is protected from a flood levee which is built to an elevation of 710 feet. The City has been implementing all measures outlined in the flood preparedness plan in anticipation of any flooding and crews will be ready to mobilize flood response efforts if necessary.
