The Mississippi River at South St. Paul projects to rise another 0.5 feet before cresting to just below 700 feet on Saturday, April 28th . Low lying areas directly next to the river, trail access points, and some portions of trail are currently experiencing flooding. Trails adjacent to the river have been closed until the water recedes. The majority of the community is protected from a flood levee which is built to an elevation of 710 feet. The City has been implementing all measures outlined in the flood preparedness plan in anticipation of any flooding and crews will be ready to mobilize flood response efforts if necessary.
