How do I get a library card?
Any resident of South St. Paul or Dakota County can apply in person to the South St. Paul or any of the Dakota County Library branches. Acceptable identification with current address is necessary.

Any of the following are acceptable for address identification:
• Driver's license
• State non-driver's ID
• Checkbook
• Recently postmarked bill (either non-label or window type)
• High school ID card

There is no fee charged for obtaining your first library card.
